Sometimes, a river or a mountain range
will determine the border between peoples.
Sometimes, a border is only the ink of a
line drawn by a man.

- Jesus De La Rosa

Jesus' work is not specifically about this region of the world. Jesus' art includes abstraction and landscape. Building up luminous surfaces with a wide variety of media, one could even say that he is not so much painting as he is assembling. Layering and even carving back into these "crusts" Jesus' process reveals a mind navigating directly through the depths of the subconscious.
